From 17 to 20 July 2017 the third linguistic summer school of the Deutscher Romanistenverband will take place at Leipzig University under the topic “Sprachpolitik und Sprachplanung in der Romania” (language policy and language planning in the Romance countries).

The summer school is aimed at PhD students as well as post-docs in the fields of Romance studies and translation studies.

The event is meant to be a forum for scientific exchange and networking.

The summer school consists of four components:

1. Experts’ talks and discussions

2. young academics’ talks and discussions

3. collective reading units

4. workshops.

16 young academics will be given the chance to present and discuss their projects.

The participation is free of charge and the working language is German.
